Crowflight Receives Confirmation of Province of Manitoba's Intent to Permit Bucko Lake Nickel Deposit

CROWFLIGHT MINERALS INC. (Crowflight, the Company) (TSX Venture Exchange: CML) is pleased to announce that the Company has received confirmation from the Department of Conservation of the province of Manitoba of the province's intention to grant an Environmental Act License for the development, mining and processing operation at the Bucko Lake Nickel Deposit to produce a nickel concentrate.

The letter sent to Crowflight states that the province is prepared to issue an Environmental Act License under appropriate terms and conditions, based on the Company's application for such license for the Bucko Mine Development. The Company's application, processed as per the normal procedures under the Manitoba Environment Act, includes the results of the 30-day Public and Technical Advisory Committee review. Crowflight and the province continue to work together with the federal Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA) in the further advancement of this permitting process regarding the use of Bucko Lake as a tailings impoundment area (TIA). Upon federal approval of Bucko Lake as a TIA, it is expected that the project will have attained full permitting status.

Thomas Atkins, President and CEO of Crowflight commented on the permitting process stating: "The province of Manitoba and residents form the northeastern region, including the town of Wabowden, continue to be strong advocates of the project. We continue to work together through the thorough and comprehensive process for permitting of the Bucko Lake Project. The federal process is advancing and we remain confident that the federal government will approve the use of Bucko Lake for the disposal of mine tailings based on the strong environmental merits of this alternative."

Crowflight is awaiting confirmation of the approval by the federal government for the use of Bucko Lake, a small, shallow, headwater lake located adjacent to the Bucko Deposit as a TIA. This proposal has undergone review by various departments of the provincial government, including a 30-day public and provincial Technical Advisory public review. Any issues raised by reviewing parties have been addressed and as such the province has communicated its intention to issue the Environment Act License upon completion of the federal approval process. Crowflight, has been in discussions with various federal agencies regarding permitting coincident with the provincial process. On the suggestion of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA), Crowflight, on February 14, 2007, completed a 30-day national review of the use of Bucko Lake as a TIA. The 30-day review was announced in the National Post newspaper in both French and English languages and in Le Devoir in French on January 16, 2007. The announcement made reference to a report completed by Wardrop Engineering, entitled: "Bucko Lake Nickel Project Tailings Disposal Alternatives". Crowflight and the Company's technical consultant responsible for the study of tailings storage alternatives, Wardrop Engineering, are of the opinion that the best long-term alternative for safe storage with the lowest environmental impact is Bucko Lake. A copy of this report is available on the Company's website: www.crowflight.com under the "Projects" menu bar. Upon concluding this 30-day review, the Company received letters in support of the use of Bucko Lake as a TIA from a number of local, regional and provincial individuals and organizations. No letters opposing the use of Bucko Lake as a TIA were received. These letters will be forwarded to CEAA as part of the permitting process.

Crowflight is continuing with preparations to advance access and development of underground workings through the rehabilitation of historical workings and the excavation of new development. Current activities include the installation of surface support infrastructure, under authorization of a separate provincial permit for such activities.
