Crowflight Provides Update on Exploration Activities in the Thompson Nickel Belt

CROWFLIGHT MINERALS INC. (TSX Venture Exchange: CML) is pleased to provide an update on exploration activities on its joint venture in the Thompson Nickel Belt ("TNB") with Falconbridge Limited ("Falconbridge").

Under its agreements with Falconbridge, Crowflight has an option to earn a 100% interest in the Bucko Nickel Deposit (refer to Figure 1, Location Map) by completing a feasibility study, arranging financing and bringing the deposit into production. In addition Crowflight has the option to earn a 50% interest in Falconbridge's share of approximately 440 square kilometres of exploration ground along a 150 kilometre corridor in the TNB by spending C$22.5 million on exploration to 2008 ($5.5 million of which has been funded). Exploration ground exists within the Bucko/Bowden and Exploration Claims agreement (press release of August 18, 2004) an area of 190 square kilometers located within 30 kilometres of the Bucko deposit and the town of Wabowden, Manitoba (the "TNB South Project") and within the Thompson Nickel Belt North agreement (press release of January 12, 2005) an area of 250 square kilometers located adjacent to Inco Limited's Thompson and Birchtree nickel mines near Thompson, Manitoba ("TNB North Project").

Objectives of the 2004 -- 2005 Exploration Program Exploration activities on the TNB properties are focused on the discovering of a multi-million tonne primary nickel deposit through Falconbridge's (the operator of the exploration program) application of modern geophysical techniques supported by more recently understood models of nickel deposition (based on Thompson, Raglan and Voisey's Bay nickel deposits).

Exploration activities began on the TNB South properties in 2004 with the compilation of historical data and a regional airborne geophysics program over most of the property package followed by follow-up ground geophysical surveys. This work provided the foundation for the winter 2005 program that shifted to a focus on drilling and down-hole geophysics. The exploration approach is to telescope from a broad regional examination to specific target generation and evaluation with maximum emphasis placed on drill investigation. Geophysical surveys were used to measure responses indicative of ultramafic rocks and consistent with both massive and disseminated nickel-bearing sulphide rocks and identify extensions to known mineralized ultramafic rocks.

Diamond drilling sought to test the occurrence of high grade nickel bodies within geophysical anomalous areas and/or within historically identified nickel mineralized occurrences. Nickel values in drill core grading above 0.5% nickel are considered excellent indicators of geological environments with the potential to host higher grade nickel deposits. An area of only 200 metres by 200 metres with a thickness of 10 metres would host a nickel deposit measuring approximately 1.2 million tonnes.

Thompson Nickel Belt South

On the Bucko Nickel Deposit diamond drilling was focused on in-fill and metallurgical testing, confirmation of the outer boundaries of the known higher grade resource block and to test depth and lateral extensions of known mineralization. At the M11A, Bowden deposit, Halfway Lake and Resting Lake projects diamond drilling tested geophysical anomalies and extensions to nickel intersections from historic drilling. A total of 32 holes were drilled during the winter on the TNB South projects (refer to Table 1, Summary of TNB South Drilling).

Bucko Deposit

Winter diamond drilling was designed to: (1) in-fill areas of known mineralization and to provide a bulk sample for metallurgical testing; and (2) to delineate the extent of known mineralization and to test potential extensions to the Bucko mineralized. A total of 7 holes for 1,102 metres were drilled for in-fill and metallurgical purposes and 9 holes for 3,971 meters were drilled to delineate and test potential extensions to Bucko (results from a number of these holes have been released - press releases of March 3, March 7 and March 30, 2005). Electromagnet downhole geophysical readings were taken in a number of these holes to test the extent of mineralization. Further geophysical surveys and additional diamond drilling are planned during the 2005 summer program with the objective of extending the mineral resource at Bucko.

Bowden Lake Project

Bowden nickel mineralized ultramafic rocks extend over a known area of 4.5 kilometres by 1.2 kilometres under Bowden Lake. Previous drilling (Falconbridge - 1970's), consisting of shallow and very widely spaced drill holes had outlined a large tonnage, lower grade deposit on the property (82 million tonnes grading 0.62% nickel). Exploration activities during the winter program, included conducting ground geophysical surveys with the objective of identifying near surface massive sulphide bodies and outlining higher grade zones of nickel mineralization associated with the historically identified mineralized ultramafics on the property. These surveys confirmed the extent of the main mineralized ultramafic body and indicated numerous possible extensions to the north and south. Six drill holes for a total of 3,212 metres were drilled off the ice on Bowden Lake during the winter. Results are pending. Further drilling is planned for next winter's program to further test the high grade potential of the mineralized ultramafics at depth and potential extensions along strike.

M11A Project

Geophysical surveys conducted as part of the winter program extended the known nickel mineralized ultramafic rocks from 3.5 kilometres (which had undergone historical drill testing) to over 5 kilometres in length. A total of 4 holes were drilled for 1,393 metres including 2 holes which tested new geophysical targets along strike to the north and to the south and 2 holes which tested the continuity of historic, high grade drill intersected nickel mineralization (hole M11A7 grading 1.11% nickel over 8.9 metres and M11A9 grading 3.90% nickel over 0.4 metres). Results are pending. Further drilling will continue to test this mineralization at depth and along strike and is being considered as part of the 2005 summer program.

Halfway Lake Project

At Halfway Lake, historical Falconbridge drilling outlined a nickel mineralized zone within an ultramafic sequence of rocks comparable to those which host Inco's Thompson Nickel deposits. Historical drill intercepts include: 1.38% nickel over 17.5 metres and 1.25% nickel over 5.7 metres. Geophysical surveys measured extensions to this known mineralization along strike and at depth. During the winter program 2 drill holes totalling 1,708 metres and borehole geophysical surveys tested a potential massive sulphide body thought to form the keel of the folded host structural feature down dip of the historical high grade nickel mineralization. Results are pending. Additional drilling is planned to further test this zone.

Resting Lake Project

At Resting Lake, previous drilling by La Ronge Mining intersected a copper-nickel mineralized ultramafic body with discontinuous nickel mineralization over 200 metres. The best intercept returned 1.35% nickel over 15.6 metres. During the winter program 2 drill holes totalling 556 metres tested the lateral extent of the historical mineralization. Results are pending. Further drilling is planned to continue to test this zone as part of the 2005 summer program.

Thompson Nickel Belt North

The joint venture's TNB North exploration program focused on in-filling historical geophysical data with ground geophysics surveys across portions of the Strong Lake, Moak Lake, Burntwood River and Birchtree North Properties. As a follow-up to this work, 8 diamond drill holes were drilled totalling 1,774 metres on the Strong Lake and Moak Lake properties and 3 holes totalling 1,395 metres were drilled on the Burntwood River Property. projects (refer to Table 2, Summary of TNB North Drilling).

Strong Lake and Moak Lake Projects

The Strong Lake/Moak Lake Properties are situated immediately adjacent to deposits of Nuinsco Resources and Inco Limited. Seven previously identified geophysical targets were drill tested during the winter program targeting high grade nickel massive sulphide bodies similar to Inco's Thompson deposits. Results are pending. Further drilling is planned for next winter's program.

Burntwood River and Birchtree North Projects

The Burntwood and Birchtree Properties host structural repetitive horizons similar to those that host Inco's Birchtree mine. Widely spaced historical drilling along an 8 kilometre trend (Jacmar Zone) on the Burntwood Property tested a continuous zone of narrow massive sulphide mineralization potentially representing the Birchtree mine horizon. Recent and historical geophysical surveying also outlined numerous conductive targets that potentially represent other Birchtree mine horizon targets. The recently completed phase of the 2005 joint venture exploration program, included three drill holes totalling 1,395 metres, two of which tested the Jacmar zone and one hole which tested a new target outlined by recent geophysical surveys. Results are pending. Further drilling is being considered as part of the 2005 summer program.

Crowflight -- The Base Metal Builder

Crowflight Minerals Inc. is a Canadian junior mining exploration and development company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. The company is focused on Nickel, Copper and Platinum Group Mineral projects in the Thompson Nickel Belt ("TNB") and Sudbury Basin.
